"Freed From Desire" is a fight the power song that embodies my spirit. I wrote it drawing on a Buddhist concept that challenges the constant craving for more and encourages us to value our principles and our own freedom instead. 

Paradoxically, a song about breaking free from societal pressures became a symbol of my struggles within the music industry where I found myself trapped in an unfair record deal which didn't rightfully credit me or align with my artistic vision. 

This forced me to truly live out the message of "Freed From Desire" by letting go of any attachment to material and external validation, finding strength in my core values and independence.

I had a gut feeling that "Freed From Desire" could resonate with people. Over the years, I put a lot of myself into keeping that song alive and relevant. 

I believe the song has a vibe that carries the same resilient spirit I live by, the spirit of never backing down which has then transcended my own experiences and resonated on a universal level. 

I love that the song's resurgence was driven not by a commercial operation but by people singing it at sports stadiums, students’ protests, lgbtq+ gatherings, and DJs around the world playing it.

I feel more connected to the song’s core philosophy than ever before in today’s world, where the pursuit of material desires is questioned by new generations. Today’s young people understand the importance of a “less is more” and “Freed From Desire” philosophy today more than ever when saving our earth has become a priority.
